Every week, I open the newest B is for Book Coach episode with the reminder that, for those few minutes at least, you are my author.

Not in a the-pressure-is-on kind of way.

Not even in a possessive way.

It’s a way to remind you that showing up is the work of authorship, and to celebrate even the smallest ways we do just that.

But that’s the work of authorship. The tedious, tangible work of writing—of bringing that authorship to the page? Holy moly, that can be difficult.

So I’m also going to send you this reminder every month: that when it really is time for your book to emerge, you don’t have to do it alone.

And you should never stay stuck alone.

You can take that reminder and run, interpreting it however it’s most helpful for you right now.

Or you can scroll down to see all of the ways you can get direct support this month, as well as the calendar and Zoom links for Momentum and Traction Author group calls (and any other events that pop up in the coming months).

Even if you aren’t ready for that extra layer of support just yet, save this post. Archive it somewhere safe. Or bookmark the main B is for Book Coach page and look for the “Don’t Stay Stuck Alone” heading. It’ll be here when you need it.

You’ve got this.

I’ve got you.

And your words are absolutely worth the effort.

~B

All Authors: Direct Support Available in May

  • Have you downloaded your workbook yet? If you’re a subscriber, you get access to a fillable PDF of my book discovery workbook You Don’t Get to the Ocean by Accident. Let me know if you lost your copy and I’ll make sure you get another one.

  • Free Call Fridays are my actual favorites. My ADHD is so happy when I get to bounce into a brand new context and puzzle something out really quickly. Right now, most of the Fridays in May have openings, so get yours while they last. Book a half hour here to sort something out, ask your burning questions, or just get to know me better. No catch. No sales. No. staying. stuck. alone.

  • One-Hour Clarity sessions are also available. These calls are just as easy for you to pop in on—no pre-homework required. But they create space for me to do homework before or support you more deeply afterward.

  • The Clear Direction Analysis calendar is a little misleading. What looks like lots of spots at the end of the month won’t actually stay that way. Once a few Clear Directions are booked in a month, I close out the calendar so that I have plenty of room to support those authors as we bring the book in their head and the book on the page into alignment with their work in the world. It’s transformative stuff, no matter how much or little you’ve already written.

I don’t have room for high touch line editing in the month of May, but if you’ve already done a Clear Direction or if you book one in May, you could become my June or July line edit author.
